Ubitus K.K., the worldwide leader in interactive cloud technologies and game-streaming services, announced the collaboration with Yahoo Japan Corporation by providing the world’s first HTML5-based commercial cloud gaming technology to their new game platform “Yahoo!Game GamePlus”, it was officially launched by Yahoo today. Through Ubitus’ technology, end-users can enjoy console-quality HD games directly on web browsers of PC/Mac and smartphones without any installation.

Cloud gaming is a technology that allows end-users to play games running on internet servers through a real-time interactive video streaming. Ubitus developed an HD cloud gaming player that runs on pure web browsers of PC/Mac and smartphone, leveraging HTML5 and the latest WebAssembly technology in the world, which does not require any extra installation process of a player application or a plugin. Users only need to intuitively open and click on browsers to instantly play console-quality HD games running on the cloud.

The mainstream browsers are supported by the technology including Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox, Mac Safari, mobile Safari (iOS), Android Chrome. For Microsoft Internet Explorer, it’s also supported through a traditional player plugin. Keyboard, mouse, as well as gamepads are supported for users to enjoy the premium game experience. We officially support any XInput gamepads on Windows PC. For other platforms, gamepads are not officially supported; however, certain gamepad models are still compatible.

“Ubitus is delighted to collaborate with Yahoo Japan to bring cloud gaming service to the next level in Japan market. We are devoted to provide this technology to web services and also game companies to support enhancing HD gaming services on web browsers.” said Wesley Kuo, CEO of Ubitus.
